The 2012 vintage marks the first release of our Peterson Vineyard Pinot Noir as a vineyard designate. The Peterson vineyard is located in the mountain town of Comptche. We used four different clones in producing this wine, which were barrel aged separately for twelve months in 50% new French oak barrels. Once the final blend was achieved, the wine was returned to barrels for an additional six months to allow the clones/wines to marry together. The wine shows bacon and Asian spices on the nose. Flavors of cranberry and strawberry fill the palate. The finished wine is rich and full-bodied.
